We are using a different part of the park this year, so our camping options have changed. Beachfront camping is still available but extremely limited. We also have some amazing on-site premium lodging options available this year, available on the ticketing page. These mini cabins feature electricity, amazing beachfront views, and close proximity to the main festival entrance and late night festivities.
Conveniently, Virginia Key is located only 15 minutes from Downtown Miami, so there are tons of hotel/airbnb options for those who don’t want to camp, as well as convenient and cheap public transportation/rideshare options to get here from Miami International Airport.
In order to regulate people going into/out of the campgrounds for safety purposes, we must require everyone camping to purchase a separate camping pass. To conserve space, there will be no car camping passes available this year.
THE HISTORIC VIRGINIA KEY BEACH PARK
Fractal Beach takes place at The Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, located on Virginia Key; an island just off the coast of Miami, FL. Virginia Key is technically the first of the Florida Keys, starting here and ending about 150 miles south in Key West. The island is everything you would expect out of a tropical paradise: sandy beaches lined with coconut-laden palm trees, iguanas, crocodiles and other exotic reptiles, and tropical mangroves filled with flora and fauna of every variety.
The park also offers tons of nature activities that you can take advantage of while you’re here. There is an amazing off-road bike path if you’re feeling adventurous, a frisbee golf course meandering through the mangroves, a historic miniature train which will provide a full tour of the festival grounds, and boardwalk paths so you can leisurely explore the wildlife of Virginia Key.
In addition, the park provides tons of great amenities like FREE hot showers, secure parking, beachside charcoal grills and picnic tables, and more
